We would like to tell our story about how our organisation, Headlands residential school, Action for Children, has needed to change and respond to complex social justice issues.

This story focusses on a student who has been on a gender identity journey and what she has taught us.

We will draw on the importance of self-reflection as well as the Spiral of Inquiry (Halbert and Kaser) and how indigenous ways of knowing and being support our journey towards greater equity and deep acceptance in our community.

Headlands School has recently become a Certified DDP Organisation.
